Our History
From a humble start in 2006, MKD Araoye Foundation was initially founded and registered as “Anti-Poverty Foundation” with the sole aim of reducing poverty and improving the well-being of senior citizens in the founder’s hometown of Ilawe-Ekiti in Ekiti State, Nigeria.
MKD Araoye Foundation has since expanded in both coverage and scope to cover other Local Government Areas in Ekiti with the addition and provision of educational support to children and youth at all levels.
We are committed to youth empowerment, owing to its ability to translate into a feeling of general satisfaction, value creation and wealth generation which in turn leads to upliftment of the general well-being of communities, societies, and the nation. In 2014, our name was changed from “Anti-poverty Foundation” to MKD Araoye Foundation in order to better represent the scope of the prospective plans of this organization.
